Christian Aid - Cut the Carbon Leeds
Following on from the event in Edinburgh, I find myself back in Leeds (where I went to University) for the second leg of the Cut the Carbon tour for Christian Aid on behalf of Affinity Events.
As with all of these events, we started with a campaign march, which took in some of the busy shopping streets, before arriving at Victoria Gardens (which is just off The Headrow – one of the busiest streets in the centre).
Due to the size of the venue, for this event we did away with the LED stage truck and instead held the event on the top of a static open top bus.
Iain Archer (formerly of Snow Patrol) headlined with an acoustic set and was joined by speakers and drummers from Christian Aid, in front of an audience of about 1,000 people.
There’s a gap now of a few weeks before the Birmingham event, but no rest for me as I’m straight off to Cheltenham to start the build for Greenbelt.
