With just 13 weeks from date of appointment to the date of the event, Subway® Picnic Rocks for Action Against Hunger (on behalf of Affinity) is probably one quickest I have ever pulled together an event – and what an event!

Almost 3,000 people came to Clapham Common Bandstand to see artistes such as The Holloways, The Metros and Amy MacDonald.

I was responsible for full event management including working with the local authority (who own and license the space), all infrastructure contractors, health and safety and budget management. I also managed the production, designing and contracting the lighting, sound and power suppliers.

I worked with the police and local licensing authorities to get the temporary event notices for the bar areas. I also worked to ensure that the security and stewarding plans would work and created all the event paperwork, risk assessments and method statements.
